State Swimming

This weekend was the State swim meet for Tooele High. It's the second year that dad hasn't announced, and I think that it's still a little weird for him to pay for a ticket and have to fight for a seat in the balcony. We had a lot of fun cheering for Skyler and using our fabulous pom-pom gloves that Staci created. I'm sure it was a little embarassing for the kids, but we don't care. He,he,he. I took lots of pictures, but forgot to bring my camera to download them, so stay tuned. Skyler did really well and medaled in three of his four events.

On Sunday, I decided to swtich things up a bit and watch the first half of the superbowl, when most of the time I watch teh last half of a game. It was a good game, and the Colts were playing well. So, I got busy and didn't watch teh last half. I can't believe that the Colts didn't hold their lead. I guess I just need to go back to watching the last half. I can't commit to a whole game on TV, so the last half has got to be it.

I am going to be better about blogging....I promise.

Bring on 2010!

Happy New Year! I am excited for a new year....new adventures, and whatever else it brings. Usually for New Years Eve, I play games with Nate, Holli, and some of our friends. But this year...I spent it with Staci and her kids, Jen and Dani too. We played guitar hero, soaked our feet, and watched a movie that made us cry. What could be better, right? Wrong! A New Years kiss would have been better, but whose complaining...
Here are a few pics of our evening.

HO, HO, HO! This year's Christmas turned out fabulous. On Christmas Eve we held our annual dinner/present exchange at the Smiths. We did Feliz Navidad with chicken enchilada's, chips and salsa and spanish rice. It was so much fun, and super yummy! The kids are always anxious to get the dinner over with, so we can open their gifts. It's fun to torture them and make them wait...he,he,he. All of them loved their Chirstmas pajama's and their presents from eachother and Grandpa. We took tons of goofy pictures with the "footies", and had a great time. The earlier part of Christmas Eve was spent trying to pull off my gift idear for Staci and Stuart. I had part of their present for some time, but couldn't figure out what to do for the other part. I wanted something personal, yet still creative and cool. So...that morning, I got a fabulous idea, and with the help of Tiffs-fani and her aweseome photography skills, pulled off a present that I was so pleased with. Black and white photos of things around their house that spell SMITH. Check out the photo later on. On Christmas, Dad and I went down to Anne's and had breakfast with the Smiths. Then we came home, chilled for a while and then went to Avatar. It was a great movie. I was pleasently surprised. After the movie, we ate, watched some TV and just chilled. It was a great holiday, and I am so blessed!

Here are some funny pics...enjoy.

Weekend o' Thanks!

Big Weekend...with lots of fun activities. Thursday started off with a photo shoot of Nate & Holli and crew for their christmas cards. Then, Thanksgiving "dinner" with me, dad, and little Stu. It turned out very nice, well, except for the rolls, but I can't seem to get those right...EVER! After that dad and I met up with the Smith's and company to see "The Blind Side". It's the best movie I have seen in a long time. I LOVED IT! After the movie, everyone but the Pikes met at Staci's for dessert, checking the adds and making a plan, and just overall enjoying one another. Friday morning at 3:30 am, Dad, Staci, Jennifer and I headed in to get the good deals! Staci had to sell her soul (for only 20 bucks) to get a ticket to ensure her the gift she was searching, but it's all good becuase she was sucessful. We shopped our longest day thus far, and returned about 4pm. Holli and her crew still put us to shame becuase they didn't get home until 1am. Crazy. That's almost 24 hours. Anyhoo....we wrapped presents, and then met up with Nate and his kids at Carl's Jr. for dinner. Then I went home and fell asleep to a movie. On Saturday, I put up my Christmas decor. I am still debating whether or not to put lights up on the outside. I just need some motivation....and bravery. Saturday afternoon I had to speak at a baptism. It was really cool. After that the Smith's and I headed out to do a photo shoot for their christmas cards. We ended that adventure by eating at the Stockton Miners Cafe. It was really yummy and a great atmosphere. Sunday was low key...church...games at dads...and then off to bed. It was a great weekend. Enjoy some of the pics....

Jumpin' Jellyfish

This last weekend we celebrated Maycee's 5th birthday. Her parents rented a jump-house castle and the kids had a ton of fun. Holli made an incredible castle cake that looked profesionally done, and Nate transformed a ghost pinata into a castle. Good times. Here are some pics.

Weekend fun....

I'm a little late posting my activities of the weekend, but better late than never. I had a low key weekend for the most part, but still a great one. On Friday, I went to Park City to shop. It was cold, but a lot of fun. Got some pretty good deals. Then on Saturday, I cleaned my house....which always makes me feel happy....and then went to teh U of U game with Hailey, April, her husband Rick, and some other family. We had a really good time, and I loved the fact that Hailey knew so much about football and didn't get frustrated with my questions. Now all I need to do if find a boyfriend with season tickets who is just as patient. Good Times!!
